Oman Cables’ OGM approves 90% cash dividends

Mubasher: Oman Cables Industry Company’s ordinary general meeting (OGM) agreed Monday on cash dividends at 90% of the capital, for the fiscal year 2015.

Unchanged from a year earlier, this payout is equivalent to OMR 90 ($2.34) baisa per share and to a total of OMR 8.07 million ($20.96 million).

The company is capitalised at OMR 8.97 million ($23.29 million) distributed across 89.7 million shares, with a nominal value of OMR 0.100 ($0.26).

During the meeting, shareholders adopted the board of directors’ report on the company’s activities and the auditor’s report for last year, according to a bourse filing.

Oman Cables’ OGM also appointed Mekelle Pinda as a board member for the remaining period of the current board.

The company earlier posted a net profit of OMR 18.5 million ($48.05 million) in 2015, versus OMR 17.7 million ($45.97 million) in 2014.

The Muscat-listed company’s share reached the level of OMR 1.545 ($4.01) in today’s early trading as 8,000 shares were traded at OMR 12,400 ($32,207).
