ORA Developers unveils $16bn initial investments in UAE, Iraq

Mubasher:  ORA Developers Group has expanded its presence in the Middle East with two major developments in the UAE and Iraq, according to a press release.

The group launched Bayn, a coastal community in Ghantoot connecting Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and Madinat Al Ward, a large-scale residential city in Baghdad.

With investments exceeding $16 billion for the first phase, highlighting ORA’s commitment to sustainable, design-led communities, according to a press release.

Bayn spans 4.80 million square meters, featuring seven kilometers of waterfront, with over 55% dedicated to open spaces, waterways, and recreational amenities.

The community features a 1.20 km beachfront, marina, lagoon, and a 100,000-square-meter sports club.

Naguib Sawiris, Chairman and CEO of ORA Developers, stated: “With Bayn, our aim is to develop a destination that anticipates the future needs of a thriving coastal community within a strategically important location.”

“Ghantoot presents a unique opportunity to create a distinctive coastal community that not only offers an exceptional lifestyle but also contributes to the broader development and appeal of the region,” Aawiris added.

The CEO concluded: “We anticipate this project will attract residents and stimulate economic and social growth.”

On the other hand, Madinat Al Ward covers 62 million square meters and will deliver 120,000 homes over 24 years, with the first phase costing $10 billion.

The development includes a 5 million-square-meter public park and is designed to be a sustainable, self-sufficient urban center.

Ibrahim Karam, CEO of ORA Iraq, commented: “We believe this development will serve as a model for future urban expansion in Iraq and the wider region.”

The two projects integrate advanced digital infrastructure, sustainable technologies, and green spaces, reflecting ORA Developers' focus on active, healthy lifestyles and environmentally conscious urban development.
