New Lebanese gov’t may unlock $11bn funds – Moody's

Mubasher: The formation of a new cabinet in Lebanon is credit positive, according to Moody's.

The international rating agency has built its assessment on the fact that the new government will implement the financial reforms required for the disbursement of $11 billion five-year investment package.

Announced by international donors during the Economic Conference for Development through Reforms with the Private sector (CEDRE), the investment package includes $10.2 billion in loans and $800 million in grants, along with $4.4 billion from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), Moody’s said.
