National Shooting losses shrink 33% in Q3

Mubasher: The financial statements of National Shooting Company, formerly known as Mayadeen, showed that its losses decreased by 32.9% during the third quarter of 2017 compared to the same period a year ago.

Losses declined to reach nearly KWD 489,600 ($1.6 million) in Q3-17 compared to about KWD 730,100 ($2.6 million) in Q3-16, according to a bourse filing disclosed on Wednesday.

During the first three quarters of 2017, losses declined by 14%, reaching KWD 1.8 million from KWD 2.1 million in the same period in 2016.

Shooting attributed the losses to the increase of 9% in operating revenue to reach about KWD 732,600 besides the decrease in calculated interests’ expenses and the decline in general and administrative expenses.
