National Cement turns to losses in 9M

Cairo - Mubasher: National Cement reported losses of EGP 337.2 million during the nine-month period that ended 31 March 2017, against profits of EGP 2.6 million for the same period last year, as shown by the company’s financial statements.

The company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Tuesday that revenues totalled EGP 1.2 billion between July 2016 and March 2017 compared to EGP 642 million for the same period in the year before.

National Cement said that its results were negatively affected by the liberalisation of the exchange rate, as well as the rise in fuel prices and quarry fees.
