Riyadh – Mubasher: Naseej for Technology Company has signed a major contract with the National Library and Archives of the UAE to develop and index extensive book collections.
The agreement is valued at approximately AED 13.45 million that is equivalent to SAR 13.82 million.
Meanwhile, the contract represents one of the largest specialized knowledge management projects in the region. This strategic partnership underscores the company’s expanding footprint in the GCC market and its role in supporting the digital transformation of cultural and academic institutions.
According to a regulatory filing on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul), the contract was signed on 24 June 2026. Based on the official exchange rate provided by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) of SAR 1.021000 per AED, the total contract value is equivalent to nearly AED 14 million.
The project is scheduled for completion over one-year duration.
Under the terms of the agreement, the company will provide a comprehensive suite of professional services focused on collection development, cataloging, and technical processing.
A critical component of the project involves the development of authority files for Emirati holdings. The scope of work includes the procurement and supply of tens of thousands of information resources in accordance with the collection development policies approved by the UAE National Library and Archives.
Furthermore, the listed company is tasked with performing cataloging and technical processing for modern, current, and rare collections. These services will be executed in alignment with international standards, specifically RDA (Resource Description and Access) and MARC21 (Machine-Readable Cataloging).
The technical scope extends to enriching bibliographic records, developing authority files, and preparing physical items using advanced technologies. This includes the implementation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), barcodes, security systems, and sophisticated packaging and preservation techniques.
The project also places a significant emphasis on the quality control of authority files for Emirati authors, organizations, conferences, and geographical names.
The Saud company will manage cataloging and quality assurance for Emirati periodicals and books in compliance with International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) and International Standard Book Number (ISBN) requirements. These efforts are designed to enhance the visibility and accessibility of Emirati intellectual production within global knowledge systems.
Regarding the financial implications of the deal, Naseej anticipates that the contract will have a positive impact on the company’s financial performance and to be reflected in the financial results starting from the 2026 fiscal year and continuing through 2027.
The company confirmed that there are no related parties involved in this transaction.
Moreover, this contract highlights the continued trust placed in Naseej by major regional cultural entities and reinforces the company's position as a provider of integrated solutions for the preservation and management of knowledge content.
