Najran Cement records 45% YoY lower profits in H1-26

Riyadh – Mubasher: Najran Cement Company logged net profits totaling SAR 11.96 million for the first half (H1) of 2026, marking a 44.92% decrease from the SAR 21.71 million in H1-25.

The company attributed the decline to a drop in average selling prices and an increase in other expenses, despite a rise in sales volumes. Revenue for the half-year period fell  by 5.05% to SAR 246.81 million.

For the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, the company’s net profit rose by 29.48% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 5.85 million, supported by lower production input costs. However, this figure represented a 4.21% decline compared to Q1-26.

Earnings per share for the six-month period ended on 30 June 2026 stood at SAR 0.07, down from SAR 0.13 a year earlier.

The external auditor issued a qualified opinion concerning the carrying value of property, plant, and equipment, which totaled SAR 1.91 billion. Total shareholders' equity was reported at SAR 2.05 billion.

The auditor stated they were unable to obtain sufficient evidence to verify management’s assessment that no impairment was necessary, citing declining profits and low production line utilization as potential indicators of impairment.

In the January-March 2026 period, the net profits shrank by 64.46% YoY to SAR 6.10 million from SAR 17.19 million.
