Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) on Tuesday announced that the wind energy plant project in partnership with the UAE’s Madsar will be executed under the buy, own, and operate (BOO) system.
The Egyptian energy authority’s decision is attributed to the high cost of the €400 million-220 megawatt plant, as the authority cannot afford around €200 million, the NREA told Almal newspaper.
The project’s environmental and feasibility studies have been completed and are ready for execution, NREA added, according to Almal.
