Riyadh – Mubasher: Moody's Ratings has affirmed the long-term deposit ratings of Arab National Bank (ANB) at ‘A1’ and its short-term deposit ratings at ‘P-1’, with a stable outlook.
The rating agency also asserted the lender’s Baseline Credit Assessment (BCA) and Adjusted BCA at ‘baa1’, long-term and short-term Counterparty Risk Assessments (CR Assessment) at ‘Aa3(cr)/P-1(cr)’, and long-term and short-term Counterparty Risk Ratings (CRR) at ‘Aa3/P-1’.
Moody's indicated: “We have affirmed ANB Sukuk Company Limited's backed senior unsecured MTN program ratings at (P)A1. The outlook on the long-term deposit ratings of ANB remains stable.”
“We expect ANB's asset quality to remain resilient over the next 12-18 months. The bank's problem loans ratio remained low at 1% of gross loans as of June 2026, reflecting its conservative underwriting standards and prudent risk appetite, with a consistently strong provisioning coverage (168% of problem loans as of June 2026).”
The stable outlook on ANB's long-term deposit ratings underlines that the Saudi bank will maintain robust capital and liquidity buffers, which will offset potential weakening in asset quality and profitability.
