Maroc Telecom’s nine-month earnings fall 6%

Mubasher: Maroc Telecom posted MAD 4.32 billion ($436 million) in net earnings for the first nine months of 2015, down 6.2% compared with the figure recorded in the same period of 2014.

The operator attributed the profit decline to the financial burden arising from adding six African branches to the group.

Chairman Abdeslam Ahizoune said his company is moving back to strong growth despite the fierce competition in the local market, thanks to the strong performance of branches.

The telecom operator has MAD 5.2 billion capital, divided into 879 million shares at a par value of MAD 6 each.
