Riyadh - Mubasher: The general assembly of Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry approved the budget of fiscal year (FY) 2019 with more than SAR 82 million realised revenues, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
The assembly also approved the FY 2020 estimated budget, allocating SAR 592.8 million for new jobs and SAR 3.89 million for development projects. Expected revenues for this year are up to SAR 74.36 million.
During 2019, the chamber has exhibited significant growth across all fields and continued to unfold new prospects even though amid the COVID-19 pandemic, said the chamber’s chairman, Hisham Kaaki.
He also noted that the performance of the chamber’s Board of Directors during its 20th term was progressing as planned before the pandemic has taken its toll on the global economy, adding that the rational policies adopted by the Saudi government placed the kingdom as a global model when handling the pandemic.
