MEPCO names Diab as CEO

Riyadh — Mubasher: The board of Middle East Paper Company (MEPCO) approved the consensual termination of the contractual relationship with CEO Faisal Alawi Haddawi on 9 October 2026.

Haddawi will remain in his current position until his final working day on 31 December 2026.

The board has appointed Marwan Diab as the new CEO, with his term officially beginning on 1 January 2027.

Diab joins the company with approximately 25 years of experience in capital-intensive industrial sectors, specializing in operational transformation, business restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions.

Diab previously held senior leadership roles at Arabian Packaging (Al Ghurair Group), Obegi Chemicals Group, and INDEVCO Group.

He holds an MBA in Economics and Finance from Concordia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut. He is also a board member of the Dubai Paper and Tissue Business Group.

The leadership transition is intended to support the company’s ongoing transformation strategy, enhance operational efficiency, and drive expansion across regional and international markets.

The board expressed its appreciation to Haddawi for his contributions during his tenure as CEO.
