MEEZA, Vodafone Qatar renew partnership deal for 10 yrs

Mubasher: Qatar’s MEEZA on Monday announced the renewal of its partnership agreement with Vodafone Qatar for additional 10 years.

Under the renewed deal, MEEZA will continue to host the telecom operator’s information technology (IT) infrastructure in its data centres, according to the company’s statement.

The Gulf nation’s prominent end-to-end managed IT services and solutions provider has been providing data suite, IT equipment hosting and co-location services since Vodafone Qatar was established in 2008.

“This important partnership with MEEZA enables us to deliver the widespread benefits of high-speed connectivity to Qatar’s businesses and consumers,” Vodafone Qatar CEO Sheikh Hamad Abdulla Jassim Al Thani stated.

By the end of the first nine months of 2018, Vodafone Qatar reported a net profit of QAR 75 million versus QAR 227.7 million in net losses in the same period of 2017.
