Liva Insurance appoints 3 board members

Riyadh – Mubasher: Liva Insurance Company has appointed three new members to fill vacancies on its board of directors, effective 15 September 2026.

The appointments follow the receipt of a non-objection letter from the Insurance Authority on 15 September.

The company appointed Adham bin Turki Al Said as an independent member. Al Said is an economist with over 25 years of experience in policy and governance, holding a doctorate from the University of Western Australia.

Shagan Ganeshan was appointed as a non-executive member, bringing 33 years of experience in internal audit and financial management.

Michael Tomson also joins as a non-executive member, drawing on his background in the insurance sector and expertise in IFRS 17 standards.

The board of directors originally approved these appointments during a meeting held on 16 July. While the appointments are effective immediately, they remain subject to final approval by the company’s shareholders at the next General Assembly meeting.

The new members are expected to strengthen the company’s governance and strategic oversight across its regional operations.

In the first six months (6M) of 2026, net profit reached SAR 16.49 million, a 213.62% increase compared to SAR 5.26 million a year earlier.
