Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) halts production at the Faregh oil field at Zueitina for scheduled maintenance from October 7 to October 14, according to NOC.
The field’s closure will result in suspending production during the maintenance period. Accordingly, around 15,000 barrels per day (b/d) of oil and 70 million cubic feet per day (mmcf/d) of natural gas will be taken offline.
Furthermore, NOC pointed out that Sirte Oil Company will continue to supply natural gas to power plants, in addition, NOC noted that supply reductions of natural gas will be compensated with liquid fuel.
It is worth mentioning that NOC, through its affiliated companies, carries out the Exploration and Production (E&P) activities in Libya, as well as marketing oil and gas operations.
