Lenovo’s presence at LEAP ties in with Saudi vision for digital transformation – Bawab

Riyadh – Mubasher: Lenovo, the global tech brand, is showcasing at the third edition of LEAP conference which comes in line with Saudi Arabia’s vision for digital transformation, of which AI plays a crucial role, General Manager at Lenovo Infrastructure Group, META, Alaa Bawab, said.

Present at Hall 1, Stand L60, inside the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center, Lenovo will provide a series of real-life scenarios focusing on its implementation of AI in technology used on a daily basis, starting from buildings, grocery shops, to offices and classrooms all the way up to critical infrastructure like citizen safety, energy, civil defense, aviation logistics and others, according to a press release.

Commenting on the participation at the four-day LEP24 event in Riyadh, Alaa Bawab, said, “We are excited and proud to come to back to LEAP this year, as the mega-event is home to technological innovations and brings an audience that is passionate about the industry. We look forward to being a part of the grand-scale event where we will leverage the event to showcase our latest advancements along with using it as a platform to meet new customers and partners alike.”

Bawab added: “The Kingdom aims to build a more diversified, innovative nation, where digital transformation is a key enabler for the Saudi Vision 2030.”

Bawab concluded that LEAP 2024, which kicked off on 4 March 2024, is providing a platform for tech professionals, C-suite executives, investors, and startups to come together, adding that this year’s edition will reiterate Lenovo’s commitments towards AI which plays a significant role in the vision set by the tech firm.

Recently, Lenovo generated more than $ 2 billion in revenue from AI infrastructure. The company further pumped $100 million worth of investments to grow its AI innovators programme which has already delivered over 150 advanced AI solutions, more than 70 AI-optimised platforms, and 45 ISV partners in its first year.

In the coming three years, Lenovo plans to contribute an additional $1 billion in investment for AI keeping in its sights AI devices, AI-ready and AI-optimised computing infrastructure, and embedded AI generated content into the intelligent solutions of vertical industries, which aims to help customers improve their productivity.

During LEAP24, the listed Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) revealed its large language AI model, aramcoMETABRAIN, which aims to increase productivity and growth.
