Lebanese investments in Egypt hit $670m in 2018 – Minister

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian investment and international cooperation minister on Sunday said that Lebanon comes in the 22nd place among countries investing in Egypt.

Lebanese investments in the North African nation reached $670 million in 2018 through 1,645 companies in the fields of services, industry, construction, oil, tourism, and agriculture, Sahar Nasr added in a statement.

This came on the sidelines of Nasr’s meeting with the former prime minister of Lebanon and co-founder of M1 Group Najib Mikati.

Nasr stressed that the investment climate in Egypt is suitable for Lebanese businessmen, parading the available investment opportunities in different sectors, mainly in the national and major projects.

The minister also displayed the most important investment opportunities across the governorates of Egypt, in an effort to boost the Lebanese investments in the  Arab world's most populous country.
