Lebanese investments in Egypt hit $1.3bn in 2017

Cairo – Mubasher: Trade exchange between Egypt and Lebanon registered $674 million in 2017, the Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil stated on Monday.

Lebanon is the ninth biggest foreign investor in Egypt, with total investments of $1.3 billion, Kabil added.

Egypt is looking forward becoming the most important economic partner for Lebanon and a base for the Levantine country’s investments in Africa, the trade minister revealed.

The minister stressed the importance of Lebanon’s government role in providing Egypt’s agriculture products with an access to the Lebanese markets.

Our national procedures to enhance the investment environment resulted in creating an ideal atmosphere for bilateral cooperation between both Arab nations, Kabil concluded.
