Riyadh-Mubasher: The Saudi bourse's benchmark fell 1.48% or 132.22 points on Tuesday to hit the 8,825 level at 1:15pm Mecca time.
Turnover exceeded SAR 4 billion, after 175.3 million shares changed hands in more than 90,000 trades.
Wrapping up stocks, 32 rose, topped by United Assurance which climbed 6.79% to SAR 15.25. Meanwhile, 118 stocks declined, led by Hail Cement which dropped 3.99% to SAR 22.65.
Alinma Bank was the most active in terms of traded volume and value, as 32 million shares were exchanged in 4,006 transactions.
All sectors headed south, except for the energy sector which rose 0.8%. The real estate development sector was the biggest decliner, falling 2%.
