Kuwaiti oil rises to $63.78 pb

Mubasher: The price of Kuwaiti oil increased by 28 cents at the closing of Tuesday’s trades to reach $63.78 per barrel (pb) compared to $63.50 pb at the end of Friday.

Trades were suspended on Monday on the occasion of the New Year’s holiday and resumed Tuesday.

Globally, oil prices closed Tuesday down, with US Nymex falling from its highest level recorded in mid-2015.

By 6:40 am GMT, US Nymex, for February delivery, edged up 0.05% to $60.40 pb, while Brent crude was stable at $66.57 pb.
