Kuwait – Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait opened Thursday’s trading on a mixed note as the benchmark price index grew 0.21% or 14.09 points, while the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices declined 0.12% and 0.33%, respectively.
By 09:50 am Kuwait time, 105.8 million shares were exchanged at KWD 8.6 million through 1,960 transactions.
The oil and gas sector rose 3.43%, backed by an increase of 8.20% in Napesco, the top gainer.
Meanwhile, the insurance sector declined 1.52% due to a decrease of 6.90% in Wethaq Takaful and 1.08% in Warba Insurance.
Taameer was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 17.4 million shares, while REAM made the highest turnover of KWD 1.93 million.
