Mubasher: The return on Kuwait’s investment abroad shrank by 14% or KWD 209 million ($700 million) during the first quarter of 2018 compared to the same period in the prior year.
Kuwait’s net income from investments abroad declined to KWD 1.33 billion in Q1-18 from KWD 1.54 billion in Q1-17, according to the balance of payments for Q1, Al Anba News reported.
The sovereign fund of Kuwait showed that assets of the GCC nation's overseas investment total $580 million, the news portal added.
Kuwait’s annual net investment income stands at $5.34 billion, Al Anba reported.
