Mubasher: Kuwait Airways announced that its flights to Al Najaf Al Ashraf City in Iraq have been suspended for about four weeks in coordination with the concerned government authorities, due to the security status quo in Iraq.
This announcement comes as a response to what has been reported on social media that Kuwait Airways has "temporarily" suspended its flights to Iraq, on the back of the outbreak of violence, the company announced through its official Twitter account on Sunday.
The company added that this decision implements the operating safety standards for both passengers and properties.
Kuwait Airways concluded that suspending flights to Al Najaf, which is the only destination of Kuwait Airways in Iraq, will continue until security is restored in Iraq.
