Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate has received about 116,620 requests for reconciliation on construction violations valued at EGP 520.88 million, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Wednesday, citing the Governor Gamal Nour El-Din as saying.
Extending the deadline for settling building violations for a three-month period ending on 31 March has allowed more citizens to submit their requests, he added.
In January 2020, the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi ratified a law allowing owners of illegally-constructed buildings to settle with the state.
