Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi cement companies’ sales retreated 21.92% year-on-year to 4.2 million tonnes sales in November 2016 from 5.4 million tonnes, according to Yamama Cement report.
Total companies’ production declined 20.2% to 4.23 million tonnes in November compared to 5.3 million in the year-ago period.
Moreover, the inventories rose 16.5% to 1.13 million in November from 971,000 tonnes in the same period of the previous year.
Yanbu Cement posted the highest sales of 690,000 in November from 620,000 in the prior-year period, with an 11.3% increase, the report said.
Saudi Cement Co. came second with a 17.3% decrease in sales to 520,000 tonnes in November from 629,000 in the same month of 2015.
