KOC, Halliburton ink 5-yr contract to develop oil fields

Mubahser: Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) announced that it has signed a five-year contract with American oilfield services provider Halliburton Company. 

The contract entails maintenance work, in addition to developing some of KOC's fields in the north, top sources told local newspaper Al-Jarida. 

The value of the contract wasn't disclosed. 

KOC, which is a subsidiary of state-run Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), aims at increasing its daily output to 45,000 barrels per day (bpd) by the end of 2020. 

Moreover, the company will work on drilling 12 wells annually.
