Mubasher: Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) on Tuesday unveiled that it has begun the trial operation and ignited the first permanent flame in its environmental fuel project in Mina Abdullah refinery.
This is a move towards fully launching the project and starting a pilot operation of the supporting units, Mohammad Al Mutairi, KNPC’s CEO, said in a press statement.
The project aims at improving the quality of Kuwaiti petroleum products, in addition to allowing the GCC country to join the international markets.
Moreover, it targets developing and expanding Mina Abdullah refinery and Mina Al Ahmadi to be an integrated refinery with a total output of 800,000 barrels per day (bpd).
