Mubasher: Kuwait National Petroleum Co (KNPC) is currently conducting studies to construct a new oil refinery in the south of Kuwait, according to the oil ministry's website on Sunday, citing the CEO of KNPC, Mohammed Al Mutairi, Reuters said.
The state-owned company is also considering raising the capacity of clean fuel projects planned at its existing refineries, and at Al Zour refinery, which is currently under construction, Reuters reported, citing Al Mutairi as saying.
Al Zour is expected to be one of the biggest refineries across the Middle East.
