Jordan’s Orange says 9M profit more than halves

Mubasher: Jordan’s Orange Telecom reported Wednesday a profit of JOD13 million (about $18.3 million) in the first nine months of 2015.

The Amman-listed company said in a statement that the profit fell to a decline of 57.47%, compared to JOD 30.6 million ($43 million) in 2014.

The financials indicate that the company’s impairment loss reached more than JOD9.87 million, while the finance income dropped to less than JOD 1.83 million from around JOD 4.74 million last year.

The telecom provider previously reported a retreat in half-year profit of 48.01%, reaching JOD 11.8 million (around $16.5 million).
