Mubasher: The ordinary general meeting (OGM) of Jazeera Airways approved the board’s recommendation of distributing a total of KWD 7 million as cash dividends to the entitled shareholders for fiscal year 2018.
Based on the 2018 approved dividend, Jazeera Airways has returned a total of KWD 84 million in cash to shareholders in the past five years from 2013 to 2018, the leading Kuwaiti airline company said on Monday.
“2018 was a transformational year for Jazeera Airways and its business as we continued to deliver on our strategy by expanding and diversifying our product and service offer, and grasping new opportunities that enable us to maintain our track-record performance of positive earnings year after year,” chairman of Jazeera Airways Marwan Boodai commented.
During FY18, Jazeera Airways achieved a net profit of KWD 6.7 million ($22.1 million) during fiscal year 2018.
Furthermore, the company reported an increase of 46.4% in passengers and a 45.5% growth in operating revenue during FY18 in comparison to 2017.
