Mubasher: Iraq’s Ministry of Agriculture has approved requests submitted by several firms to export 4,500 tonnes of fruits and vegetables to Saudi Arabia.
The decision was made as per the directives of the Iraqi Minister of Agriculture, Mohammad Karim Al-Khafaji, to increase the country’s non-oil resources, support farmers through keeping demand and supply in balance, and achieve price stability, according to an official statement on Tuesday.
The crops to be exported include tomatoes, pepper, aubergine, cucumber, onions, and lemons. They will be delivered to the kingdom via the Arar border crossing.
