Investment Minister looks to attract new Chinese investments in Egypt

Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Dr. Sahar Nasr, met on Sunday with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Cairo Song Aiguo, in the presence of Ministry Asian sector Head’s Mona Ahmed, as well as officials of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones’ promotion sector China file.

The two sides discussed how to strengthen Egypt- China's economic, investment and development cooperation during the next phase.

They also tackled coordination with the Egyptian-Chinese Business Council in order to attract more Chinese investments in Egypt, in addition to the developmental aspect through obtaining grants from China to support development projects in Egypt, and maximize the utilization of the Silk Road Initiative.

Nasr stressed Egypt's keenness to maximize the benefit of the comprehensive strategic partnership with China in various fields and inject new Chinese investments in various sectors.

 She stated that the Egyptian investment map includes many investment opportunities that Chinese investors can invest in Egypt.
