Mubasher: The inflation rate in Kuwait has increased 0.80% on an annual basis in July 2018, according to the latest data by the Central Statistical Bureau.
Kuwait’s consumer price index (CPI) rose to 113.1 points in July this year from 112.2 points in the same month a year ago.
The cigarettes and tobacco basket registered an incline of 13.7% to top ten groups, followed by the telecom, entertainment, and health baskets with a rise of 4.61%, 4.46%, and 3.3%, respectively.
On a monthly basis, the inflation rate went up 0.18% when compared to 112.9 points in June.
On a monthly basis, the food and beverage basket headed four groups with a rise of 0.84%, followed by the telecom and health baskets with an increase of 0.77% and 0.19%, respectively.
