IHC’s unit Palms Sports secures AED 63m deal

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Sports management firm Palms Sports, a subsidiary of the listed International Holding Company (IHC), has been awarded a training service contract valued at AED 62.80 million.

The four-year deal is the longest single contract term in Palms Sports’ history, according to a press release.

Under the agreement, Palms Sports will provide a team of seasoned professional trainers to deliver specialised training programmes, which will include newly developed training methodologies to cater to the specific needs of the government authority.

Meanwhile, the partnership aligns with the sports company’s commitment to deliver enhanced fitness and training services across the UAE.

Fouad Darwish, CEO & Managing Director (MD) of Palms Sports, said: “Governments across the region are demonstrating a firm commitment towards workforce development; this four-year contract renewal is a clear testament to the UAE’s government's unwavering commitment to prioritising the fitness and well-being of its personnel and people alike.”

Last July, IHC’s subsidiary acquired security services firm Securiguard Middle East at a total value of AED 300 million.
