Gulf Insurance H1 profits soar 49%

Mubasher: Gulf Insurance Group registered an increase of 3% in profits during the second quarter of 2018 compared to the same period a year ago.

Earnings grew to about KWD 520,400 in Q2-18 from nearly KWD 507,100 in Q2-17, according to a bourse statement on Sunday.

During the first half of 2018, Gulf Insurance achieved a surge of 49% in profits to KWD 1.35 million compared to about KWD 912,200 in the same half last year.

The increase in H1 profits is attributed to a positive performance in technical income and net profit from investment.
