Germany’s Deutsche Hospitality to open new hotel in Egypt in 2018

Cairo – Mubasher: Germany-based Deutsche Hospitality's Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts plans to expand in Egypt by opening the Steigenberger Resort Achti in Luxor in the third quarter of 2018.

Luxor’s new hotel will be located along the east bank of the Nile River and will feature 281 guestrooms, suites and bungalows, according to Hotelier Middle East.

By inaugurating Steigenberger Resort Achti, the number of Deutsche Hospitality’s hotels in Egypt will rise to 14 hotels.

The Egyptian housing ministry had previously announced that InterContinental Hotels Group requested to manage and operate 1,000 hotel apartments in New Alamein city through InterContinental, Holiday Inn, and Staybridge Suites.

Moreover, a source at the housing ministry said Hilton Worldwide would manage and operate two hotels in New Alamein City.
