Mubasher: The German Embassy announced on Thursday the opening of a new visa application centre in Kuwait, according to a recent statement.
Launching this centre in Kuwait is considered a move that brings better efficiency to the visa application processing services as well as enhanced customer experience to the residents of the GCC nation.
The leading outsourcing and technology services specialist for diplomatic missions worldwide VFS Global will also offer biometric enrolment facilities to Kuwait’s residents applying for Schengen visas.
“The processing time for a Schengen visa takes a maximum of 15 days and can be applied for up to 3 months before the planned date of travel,” according to the statement.
Ambassador of Germany to Kuwait Karlfried Bergner commented that “the opening of the new centre is in line with the mandate the Federal Republic of Germany has awarded VFS Global to open external visa application facilities in 10 countries world over, including the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.”
He added that “the centre will support time-efficient visa processing and Kuwaiti travellers to Germany and other Schengen countries will find applying for visas a comfortable and seamless experience.”
