General Petroleum plans to up output by 2020

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s General Petroleum Company (GPC) is planning to increase its daily production to over 79,000 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) of crude oil, condensates, and gas during the fiscal year 2019/2020.

The company’s plan to achieve such target is based on three basic elements, on top of which a working programme aimed at drilling 38 new wells, and the completion of another 13 wells in concession areas, the GPC’s chairman Nabil Abdul Sadeq stated.

During the first six months of the fiscal year 2018/2019, the GPC’s production reached its peak, recording 97,400 BOEs.
