GMIS , General Confederation of Morocco sign MoU

Morocco – Decypha: The Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (GMIS) signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Confederation of Morocco (GCM) to further promote cooperation between the public and private sectors in the Kingdom of Morocco with the global industrial companies.

"The cooperation between the public and private sectors a key factor for economic development. The GCM was established to represent the private sector companies and strengthen communication and dialogue with the government sector, to ensure that sensitive government laws interest companies and support their needs and requirements. We stress, through the signing of a MOU with GMIS, our commitment to provide the optimal economic conditions for industrial companies in Morocco and all over the world," said Mary Bensalah Chakroun, Head of the General Confederation of Moroccan

"The continued cooperation between the public and private sectors is the only true guarantee to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth. GCM provides a successful example for the entire world where enabling industrial companies from working in a suitable legislative environment which is continuously developed by the public and private sectors " commented Bader Salim Sultan Al-Ulama, CEO of Strata Manufacturing, and Chairman of the GMIS Organizing Committee.

 The GMIS’s goals are for industries and manufacturing entities to build strategic alliances as well as take advantage of the opportunities arising from industrial development, digital transformation and global value chains to rebuild the global economic prosperity.

 The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises was founded in 1947, to be an outstanding representative of the private sector companies in Morocco. Union and its membership includes the 88 thousand members and affiliate, and aims to facilitate dialogue that leads to the development of an ideal business environment.

GMIS is hosted in in Abu Dhabi by the UAE Ministry of Economy and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), to take place on March 27-30. The summit will bring together more than 1,200 participants from senior state leaders, and CEOs of major industrial companies, researchers, specialists and academics
