Mubasher: Gulf Bank of Kuwait (GBK) achieved an increase of 19.4% in profits during the second quarter of 2018 compared to the same period in 2017.
Earnings grew to KWD 16 million ($52.9 million) in Q2-18, up from KWD 13.4 million ($44.3 million) in Q2-17, according to a bourse statement on Thursday.
During the first six months of 2018, GBK’s profits enlarged by 17.8% to KWD 26.81 million compared to KWD 22.76 million in the same period a year ago.
The incline in H1-18 profits is attributed to higher interest income.
