GAC Motor eyes expansion in GCC

Mubasher: GAC Motor is planning to expand in the Gulf region through launches in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

The Chinese leading automaker has opened a sales and service centre in the UAE and launched the brand for the first time in Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, it launched the GAC Motor GS7 in Kuwait, Arabian Business reported.

The carmaker opened its sales and service centre in the Persian Gulf emirate of Dubai after signing a strategic cooperation agreement with Gargash Group to jointly explore the UAE market.

As for Saudi Arabia, the Chinese firm set up a sales service and experience shop in the oil-rich country after signing an agreement with Saudi dealer Aljomaih Automotive Company (ACC).

Under the deal, both parties will build four sales network and service points in the Saudi cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.

The company also unveiled its GS7 model in Kuwait in November, according to the company’s statement.

Sheikh Ibrahim Aljomaih, vice chairman and CEO of AAC, said that GAC will play a role in changing people’s perspectives about Chinese cars.

“Just as our ancestors brought the best silk and porcelain thousands of years ago, GAC Motor has introduced high-quality products to Saudi Arabia: the GS8, GA8, GS4, and GA3S,” Yu Jun, president of GAC Motor, commented.
