Fujairah Chamber, Tunisian Consul-General discuss ways of promoting economic ties

Khalifa Khamis Mattar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted the desire of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote the economic and commercial ties between the emirate and friendly countries, as well as the cooperation between local businessmen and their international counterparts.

He made this statement today while receiving Lutfi bin Amer, Consul-General of Tunisia in Dubai, in the presence of Khalid Mohammed Al Jassem, Director-General of the Chamber, and Sultan Jumaie Obaid, Deputy Director-General of the Chamber.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways of promoting the economic ties between the UAE and Tunisia, especially the communication between businessmen from Fujairah and their Tunisian counterparts.

Al Kaabi welcomed Amer while stressing that the relations between the UAE and Tunisia are witnessing significant development, which reflects the desire of both countries to develop their economic and commercial cooperation.

Al Kaabi also briefed Amer about the emirate’s investment opportunities, especially in the areas of oil storage and logistics while praising the relations between their countries and highlighting the UAE’s desire to promote their economic cooperation and increase their trade and investment exchange, as well as the importance of the role of the Emirati-Tunisian Business Council.

Amer proposed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Fujairah Chamber and one of its counterparts in Tunisia, to promote their economic ties, exchange ideas and establish commercial and investment partnerships.
