France’s Michelin opens regional office at DAFZA

UAE - Mubasher: Michelin, a leading mobility company based in France, has opened its regional office for its Africa, India, and the Middle East (AIM) operations at Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (DAFZA) in the UAE.  

The new regional headquarter will be managing 87 offices across the regions, allowing Michelin to further expand its regional operations, according to a press release on the behalf of DAFZA.

The official opening ceremony of the new facility was held in the presence of director-general of DAFZA Mohammed Al Zarooni, president for Michelin AIM Marc Pasquet, and Consul General of France Raja Rabia.

Mohammed Al Zarooni said: “DAFZA remains committed to boosting the growth of key sectors that continuously drive Dubai's economy and diversification efforts. With DAFZA’s strategic location, wide range of services, and unique offering, we are keen to continue to be at the forefront of attracting multi-national companies and foreign businesses such as Michelin into Dubai, supporting them to help achieve growth and success.” 

Moreover, Marc Pasquet commented: “We are looking forward to launching our operations within DAFZA, a free zone that will provide the ideal services for our business. As a leading international tire company we require a strategic location that allows us to achieve our primary goal of complying with all market demands and DAFZA provides this. We are confident that this move will support us in expanding and boosting our business by strengthening our presence in the region.”

Michelin has been operating in over 170 countries, including the Middle East where it has been active for more than 70 years.

DAFZA, which is home to over 1,600 regional and international companies, provides a large-scale portfolio of exceptional services, world-class facilities, advanced infrastructure, smart solutions, and investment facilities.
