Foreign ownership on Tadawul rises SAR 3.3bn in week

Riyadh – Mubasher: The value of shares owned by foreign investors on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) rose by SAR 3.33 billion during the week ended on 26 November 2020,  backed by a rise in the value of shares owned by qualified investors by SAR 3.201 billion to SAR 155.642 billion. 

Foreign ownership on the main market increased to SAR 206.04 billion last week, compared with SAR 202.706 billion a week earlier, representing 2.25% of issued shares and 12.84% of free shares, according to Tadawul’s weekly report.

Meanwhile, ownership of resident and other investors grew by SAR 141.353 million to SAR 7.9 billion.

Likewise, Saudi ownership surged by SAR 61.414 billion last week to reach SAR 8.88 trillion, representing 97.26% of issued shares and 84.69% of free shares.

As for GCC investors, ownership reached SAR 44.67 billion, a weekly increase of SAR 2.651 billion, representing 0.49% of issued shares and 2.47% of free shares.
