Dubai – Mubasher: Fintech Galaxy has on Monday launched FinX22, a cloud-based open innovation platform that aims at driving financial inclusion, collaboration, fueling innovation, and connecting the region’s financial institutions to thousands of fintech companies from around the globe.

The platform has been designed and launched in collaboration with the Central Bank of Bahrain, the Arab Fintech working group of the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), and the Arab Federation of Exchanges in Lebanon.

In addition, collaborating banks were namely: Emirates NBD from the UAE, Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF) from Saudi Arabia, Egyptian Gulf Bank (EG Bank) from Egypt, the Jordan Ahli Bank, the Benefit Company and Gulf International Bank (GIB) from Bahrain.

The platform offers an open API sandbox, an AI-powered global fintech marketplace, and an innovation crowdsourcing platform.

The launch of this platform comes at a critical time, when financial institutions are increasingly focusing on implementing digital transformation strategies to drive business growth, despite the current outbreak of COVID-19,” said Mirna Sleiman, Founder and CEO, Fintech Galaxy.

After two years of active prototyping with regulators, financial institutions and fintechs, we are now bringing to the market a platform that has a large database of global and regional fintechs, allows seamless matchmaking between fintechs and financial institutions, all while providing real-time access to Open Banking APIs through a standardized universal gateway,” she added.
