Riyadh – Mubasher: Dr. Soliman Abdel Kader Fakeeh Hospital Company (Fakeeh Care Group) has joined the Global Sepsis Alliance (GSA) as a Founding Pilot Partner for the development and international validation of the new GSA Sepsis Accreditation Program, reinforcing its commitment to patient safety, quality of care, and clinical excellence.
The announcement coincides with World Sepsis Day 2026, as the GSA launches the program’s development and international validation phase.
The initiative aims to establish a global framework to help hospitals develop reliable, integrated systems for the prevention, early recognition, timely treatment, recovery, measurement, and continuous improvement of sepsis care.
As part of the pilot, Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital–Jeddah will test the proposed accreditation standards in a real-world clinical setting. The assessment will include structured self-evaluation, evidence reviews, patient and system tracers, data validation, multidisciplinary interviews, and feedback on the proposed standards and assessment methodology.
The findings will contribute to refining the final GSA Sepsis Accreditation Standards and assessment methodology ahead of their global launch.
Through its participation, the hospital will contribute to shaping future international standards for sepsis care while using the assessment and learning process to strengthen its internal systems, evaluate performance, identify improvement opportunities, and ultimately support better patient outcomes.
