Egypt Today: Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla said on Thursday the experimental operation of the asphalt production plant at Suez Petroleum Manufacturing Company will start in October.
The project will contribute to securing big part of the needs of the local market in light of the boom witnessed in the new road mechanism.
During the meeting of the general assembly of the company to accredit the results of the fiscal year 2020/2021, Molla referred to the tendency of the petroleum sector to localize the local industry.
Molla lauded the performance of the petroleum companies topped by Petrojet company in implementing different projects in the refining domain.
The results showed that the refined quantities of crude oil reached 2.2 million tons, said Hisham Fathi, Head of Suez Petroleum Manufacturing Company.
A number of new investment projects are being implemented by the company to increase the efficiency of the operation, improve performance and apply the standards of safety and vocational health, Fathi said
