Etihad ESCO inks pact to retrofit 2 Abu Dhabi-based industrial facilities

Dubai – Mubasher: Etihad ESCO has signed an agreement with Jamal Al Ghurair Group to retrofit two of its facilities in Abu Dhabi, Gypsemna and Porcellan.

The UAE-based energy company will execute its first retrofit programme, laying the ground for more alike projects in Abu Dhabi, according to a company statement released on Wednesday.

“We are glad to form this partnership with Jamal Al Ghurair Group, which is first of the many retrofit projects we are set to undertake in the UAE’s capital,” CEO of Etihad ESCO Ali Al Jassim commented. 

Slated for completion in 2018, the project will be executed following the proposal of energy conservation measures (ECMs).

“We are optimistic that the ECMs proposed by Etihad ESCO after conducting a detailed study of our industries will help us gain from savings, in terms of both cost and energy,” Jamal Al-Ghurair’ Group Chairman said.
