Egypt Oil & Gas: Enppi and Petrojet have successfully executed Ain Sukhna’s SUMED Product Hub to meet the local market needs from petroleum products, imports, storages, and re-exports, according to a statement from Enppi.
This is the first-ever project to implement jacking technology in storage tanks lifting in Egypt. The project consists of three km offshore platform facilities with the capacity to receive giant tankers with 160,000 deadweight tons (DWT) and reaching 15 m deep hulls. Additionally, the project includes loading and unloading arms with varied dimensions ranging from 12-24 inches, and eight pipelines estimated at 240,000 inches in total.
Moreover, the project includes nine warehouses for the purpose of storing petroleum products, with a capacity of 300,000 cubic meters of which 135,000 cubic meters are assigned to the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC). In addition to assigning 165,000 cubic meters to Saudi Aramco for storage and re-exportation. The project also includes three electrical substations and one control room.
