Eni plans to connect three new wells in the Shorouk concession to Zohr natural gas field in order to increase the field’s production, a source at the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) told Al Shorouk Newspaper.
The company will complete drilling the field’s 15th well in April, and with new wells being drilled and production starting by the end of May, the number of the natural gas producing wells will be boosted to 11, the source noted.
Earlier in April, Eni started implementing the seventh natural gas processing plant in Zohr field with a capacity of 400 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) of natural gas, a source in the oil and gas sector told Al Borsa Newspaper.
